Mostly I’m a retro fan. However, I have found myself in certain situations at customers where “teams” are being force-fed agility. This is not conducive to constructive retros 🙁  This was (retrospectively) a good learning experience, because having expended a lot of energy trying to galvanise some change, I realised that I was wasting my time. I can’t force the change. I can open a door and show a world on the other side. I can encourage people to go through the doorway – sometimes I can even give them a nudge. But I can’t push them through the door. These days, if I feel like their is no intrinsic interest in trying out the new concepts on the other side of the door, I don’t see the point in flogging dead horse. Time to find a team who is interested in something new…
